MLM Prospecting What is It?

  If you look up prospecting, it is defined as looking for gold. That is a very applicable definition of MLM Prospecting, you constantly look to hit gold in your business. And just as gold will run in veins, so will your MLM success run in veins through your team, and you must always mine these veins.

  If you actually think about it, Network Marketing Prospecting is just the tactics and strategies of discovering people that you can talk to about your business. Plain and simple. In no way is this rocket science, just talking to folks is how we make our living and get paid to do. You must talk to people so therefore you must discover people to tell your story to.

  Unless you want to end up like 90% of Network Marketing people, prospecting is one activity that you have to practice everyday.

   If you run out of people to talk to, then you will leave the MLM business claiming that it doesn't work. Well the MLM business does work, as long as you constantly have people to share your business with, and you effectively do it.

  There are 4 main steps to MLM Prospecting that have shown themselves to be effective over time. And we have discussed this Prospecting path for years. Most people like to have a step by step path to follow, since this is how most of us live our lives. And this path of Network Marketing Prospecting you should follow to insure that you are working the prospect properly. And that you clearly understand that prospecting is a process not a one time shot. A lot of prospect names can be yielded, if MLM prospecting is done right, all at once you will have a lot people looking at your business.

The 4 step process what is it?

1) Finding

  This is basically using different tools and tactics to locate people that may have an interest in looking at your business and products. There are thousands of ways to do this. In many ways finding people is an art, since you must have several ways of finding leads, for your Network Marketing Home Business.

  Everywhere you look there are people, so finding someone to talk to can be very easy. And there are a very few of them that don't want the best out of there life and what life has to offer. Finding is basically searching and looking for people who want to use your services and products and check out your business.


2) Exposing

  When you locate people, you need to create an exposure, one that is short and gives them an idea of the kind of people you are looking for and what your company is all about. Now this is not really a formal presentation, just a 30 sec. commercial that better known as the approach.

  Your initial exposure of your Network Marketing, business and services may occur in many different ways, over lunch, email, video or phone call etc.

  In your initial approach, the idea of your business and not the information is all you are exposing them to. You just need to see if the idea of your business and product is something that they would be interested in or if they know someone that is.

3) Classifying

  In this step you come to realize that there are only 2 types of people you will talk to.

  Prospects that are open to new ideas. (These are the ones that will listen to you)

  People who are very closed to a new ideas. (These are the prospects that will not listen to you)

  Your prospects must be separated into these two categories. You move them forward if they will listen to you. Talk product, or ask for referrals, if they will not listen to you. Mastering this step is imperative, as this is where you will quit chasing people who are not truly interested.

  "Did this make sense to you" is a question you can ask to find out what they think of the idea. And you will discover if they truly want to learn more about your MLM business.

  "In the ad I sent you, what part did you like the most?" Is just another question to use, to discover how they feel about your idea.

4) System

  The prospects that are willing to listen, should be put in your company or your up-line's recruiting system and allow the system to work. Now is the time to get them on product and schedule a formal meeting. This could be a conference call, web-cast, or a home meeting

  If the prospects are not willing to listen to your idea, put these prospects in your followup system and sometime down the road, followup with a phone call, when the timing is better for them. You should always ask if it okay for you to keep in touch with them to update them on the success of your Network Marketing efforts.

  This simple 4 step prospecting process may be compared to a filtering system, because it will filter out the prospects that have no true interest, and you can spend your time only with those that have a real interest in either becoming a distributor, costumer or perhaps help your business efforts in some other way.

  You must become a Master MLM Prospector. When you follow these 4 steps, you shall greatly increase the odds of hitting gold in MLM Prospecting in Network Marketing.
